Our Roots. Our Music.
Rooted in Kentucky. Made for Everywhere. Kentucky Roots Music is an independent music label built around storytelling, original ideas and creative freedom.
The Story Behind the Label
Born From Appalachian Roots
Kentucky Roots Music was born from the hills of Eastern Kentucky, near Morehead, where faith, family, hard work, and storytelling are more than traditions. They're a way of life.
Founded by Jeff Skeens AKA Kentucky, the label carries those Appalachian roots into a new generation of music, blending Southern heritage with fresh sounds, bold creativity, and a passion for telling stories that matter.
From hard hitting Dirty South Hick Hop and outlaw country to Gospel, Bluegrass, and modern musical influences, Kentucky Roots Music refuses to be defined by a single genre.
Every song has a story. Some bring laughter, others carry faith, heartache, or memories of home. But they all come from a shared belief that music should connect with people, stir emotions, and leave something worth remembering.
Rooted in Kentucky. Made for Everywhere.
